Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred; CPR/First Aid and Medication Management certification within 6 months of starting employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to instruct persons with disabilities.
• Ability to adjust to unexpected situations.
• Computer proficiency.
• Reliable cellphone.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance required.
• Loyalty to the agency and its mission.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm.

Aufgaben

• Assists program participants with developing strategies, making informed choices, and following through on responsibilities.
• Encourages program participants to achieve goals and desired outcomes by developing programming from participants’ preferences, needs, interests, and strengths.
• Provides information about community resources and helps participants self-advocate.
• Drives program participants to and from appointments, events, stores, activities, etc.
• Ensures participants have access to resources and coordinates them as needed.
• Provides ongoing assessment of participants to identify needs and support capabilities, strengths, and preferences.
• Builds rapport with participants through effective communication.
• Maintains accurate documentation on participants and manages documentation systems.
• Submits documentation for participants in a timely manner.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed and complies with crisis reporting requirements.
• Maintains professional and ethical relationships with participants, families, coworkers, and other agencies.
• Completes all duties and work requirements.
• Models Goodwill’s IMPACT values.
