Job summary

Whole Life seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals in Preston, CT to provide person-centered care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will support daily living activities, promote independence, and help with community integration.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, administering medications, documenting observations, and coordinating with managers and families to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma/Transcript/GED equivalent.
• Proof of valid driver's license, social security card, birth certificate, or passport.
• Ability to pass Background Check, safe driving record, and Abuse Registry Check; Fit for Duty physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
