Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities within our community-based programs.

You will assist with daily living activities, accompany individuals to appointments, and support their participation in community life. We offer paid training, a 23-hour part-time schedule, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff (and $500 for part-time).

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior in work, volunteer or school contexts.
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to empower independence.
• Assist with daily living activities, appointments, banking, community participation and outings.
• Follow Behavioral Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and medication guidelines as required.
