Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or IEP required.
• At least 1 year of experience in ID/DD field; exceptions possible with enhanced supervision until year obtained.
• Medication Administration Certification preferred but may be required by end of introductory period.
• Must pass trainings and orientation; maintain required certifications.
• Computer skills required for documentation.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Problem solving ability.
• Pass local/state background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Follow Person-Centered Plan and coordinate with care team and families.
• Assist with daily living tasks: meals, budgeting, shopping, cleaning.
• Support individuals to develop daily living skills and independence.
• Monitor and assist with medication administration as needed.
• Assist with crisis intervention and basic First Aid/CPR if required.
• Coordinate transportation to appointments and activities.
• Document activities and behaviors in EHR and client files.
