Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential settings. You will provide daily living support, skills training, and community integration while adhering to MAP, CARF, and state standards.

Training in specialized areas such as autism and behavioral support may be required. The role includes day-to-evening shifts, medication administration where applicable, and active collaboration with guardians

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position.
• Experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to drive a large vehicle and hold a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with skills training in activities of daily living.
• Create opportunities to foster independence and decision making.
• Follow regulatory standards (DDS/DMH/MassHealth/HUD/DPH/CARF) and Bridgewell policies.
• Administer medications as per MAP regulations, where applicable.
• Maintain documentation including progress notes and shift checklists.
• Perform household cleaning duties and complete required tasks.
• Engage with guardians and stakeholders to support residents.
