Job summary

The Kennedy Collective Inc Bristol, CT is hiring a Direct Support Professional for Day & Residential Programs. The DSP will provide person-centered supports across residential, day, and community settings, implementing IPs/ISPs and promoting independence.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong communication and documentation skills. Training and certifications will be provided to ensure compliance with CT DDS regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Incomplete credentials must be maintained as required by agency regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals following Individual Plans, promoting independence and meaningful participation.
• Assist with ADLs, personal care, mobility, meal support, medication support, and household tasks as needed.
• Implement goals, behavioral supports, and nursing protocols and report progress to supervisors.
• Develop independent living, communication, and social skills through person-centered instruction.
• Facilitate activities that promote learning, employment readiness, and community participation.
• Complete accurate documentation in electronic case records and other platforms.
• Ensure health, safety, privacy, dignity, and rights per regulations and policies.
• Respond to emergencies using approved techniques and procedures.
• Transport individuals to community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment.
