Job summary

CW Resources is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bristol, CT to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Day Program. You will help with daily activities, promote independence, and participate in community outings and group activities.

Qualifications

• No experience required but comfort with adults with disabilities is essential.
• Willingness to learn, follow guidance and engage in ongoing training.
• Ability to assist with personal care and physical support as needed.
• Must have a valid Real ID and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Help adults with daily needs such as eating, grooming, using the restroom, and safe movement.
• Model skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living to promote independence.
• Lead group and one-on-one activities like arts, crafts, games, and life-skills lessons.
• Support participants during community outings and recreational activities.
• Safely drive the company van to outings and transport participants.
• Document daily activities, progress, and incidents accurately.
• Attend trainings to maintain skills and certifications.
