Job summary

The Kennedy Collective Inc in Connecticut is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Day and Residential Programs to provide person-centered supports, promote independence, and help individuals participate in home and community life.

You will assist with ADLs, documentation, health and safety, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement IPs/ISPs and ensure quality services in accordance with DDS regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to complete required trainings and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in accordance with IP/ISP, promoting dignity, independence, and participation.
• Assist with ADLs, personal care, mobility, meals, medication support, and household tasks as needed.
• Implement goals and plans while documenting progress for supervisors and team.
• Support development of independent living, communication, social, vocational, and community skills.
