Terrapin House, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one support to a young adult in their home and community. You’ll help the individual stay active, participate in the community, and build greater independence while enjoying meaningful experiences throughout the day.

This part-time role requires a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle, with CNA certification a plus; training is provided for seizure care and in-home support needs.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is a plus.
• Training will be provided for seizure care.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or in-home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered assistance with ADLs.
• Provide seizure awareness, monitoring, and response according to established protocols.
• Stay actively engaged throughout the day—not simply completing care tasks.
• Support community activities, errands, appointments, and social outings.
• Encourage movement, wellness, independence, dignity, and choice.
