Zusammenfassung

Rappahannock Area Community Services Board is seeking staff to provide direct care and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a local activity center. Under supervision, you will follow agency policies and maintain accurate records while helping participants develop daily living skills and social behaviors.

Responsibilities include monitoring safety, assisting with personal care, transporting participants, and coordinating with habilitation staff.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma and some coursework in the Behavioral Sciences.
• Some coursework in Behavioral Sciences and some work experience in day support programs for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Aufgaben

• Monitors participant behaviors, safety and health in accordance with service plans.
• Instructs and supervises individuals engaged in skill development.
• Assists and coaches individuals in community integration and social behaviors.
• Assists individuals with personal hygiene and other skills including bathing and related tasks.
• Coaches participants on budgeting and use of personal funding accounts.
