Job summary

Hope Network / Kersey House is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals in achieving independence on the 2nd shift, full-time, on-site in Davison, Michigan. You will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, and community participation, while working to ensure safety and well-being in a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration with care teams, and facilitating meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Driver's license may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 with eyes-on or 15/30 minute checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy.
• Foster partnerships with individuals served and the community.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility needs.
• Promote health awareness and monitoring of medical conditions.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team.
• Document care plans accurately and timely.
• Support community participation, volunteering, and career goals.
