Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. You will provide exceptional care to residents with complex needs, supporting daily living activities, hygiene, meals, and social engagement.

Shifts available include full and part-time, 8- and 12-hour shifts. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days and 2 weeks of paid training to acclimate new hires to daily living skills and support plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable means of transportation and ability to lift/transfer without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support to residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges.
• Record observations and daily progress notes; implement individualized programs.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
