Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional to provide support and instruction to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Staten Island group home. Competitive pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour with various shifts available.

Responsibilities include promoting growth, ensuring activities are supportive, and assisting with daily needs, nutrition, and medications as needed. Weekly pay and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required or highly preferred.
• First Aid training is required or highly preferred.
• TB clearance is required.
• SCIP knowledge is helpful but not required.
• AMAP knowledge is helpful but not required.

CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS

Assorted shifts available for part time and full schedule. Weekends are available. Must be flexible.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
• Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
• Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications (as needed)
• Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful)
• Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable toileting.
