Job summary

Brown Family Housing in Orange County, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower adults with disabilities to live independently at home and in the community. This part-time role offers 15 hours per week with a pay rate of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, and requires bilingual Spanish proficiency.

You’ll provide person-centered support, assist with daily living tasks, accompany clients to appointments, document progress, and help implement ISP plans in a compassionate, proactive,

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check (Live Scan), TB test and physical.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to get certified on hire).
• A compassionate, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Empower Independence: Assist with daily living tasks like meal prep, budgeting, and personal care.
• Build Community: Accompany clients to appointments, grocery shopping, and community outings.
• Goal Advocacy: Implement support plans (ISPs) and encourage self-advocacy.
• Documentation: Keep accurate progress records and maintain a safe, positive environment.
