Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to build trusting relationships with adolescents in a residential setting. You will mentor youth, promote positive decision-making, and support community activities including school, appointments, and outings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or a High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Training, safety, and compliance are provided and valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience working with children or adolescents.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass mandated trainings including Crisis Management, CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and meaningful connections with adolescents.
• Mentor youth and encourage positive decision-making.
• Support community integration with school activities and appointments.
• Teach essential life skills: cooking, laundry, cleaning, personal responsibility.
• Use crisis de-escalation techniques to support youths.
• Be a positive role model and promote independence and social skills.
