Legacy Treatment Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional to guide and support adolescents in a residential setting. You will build meaningful relationships, mentor youths, and promote independence through daily activities and life skills training.

Must be able to work weekends, lift up to 50 lbs, and complete mandated trainings including Crisis Management, CPR and First Aid. Competitive benefits and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work with adolescents in a residential setting.
• Must pass mandated trainings including Crisis Management, CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with adolescents.
• Mentor youth and promote positive decision-making.
• Assist with community integration and accompanying to activities.
• Teach life skills like cooking, laundry, and personal responsibility.
• Use crisis de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement.
• Participate in recreational activities and serve as a positive role model.
