Job summary

Braverhood is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-home and community support for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on building social skills, daily living activities, and achieving personal goals, with ongoing collaboration with Case Supervisors.

Qualifications

• BA degree required.
• Experience with the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Driver's license and vehicle required.
• U.S. citizen or have a work permit.
• Online DSP training course must be completed after hire.
• Must be able to show up to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment to help individuals achieve personal goals in daily living and social interactions.
• Work closely with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
• Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings once a year.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to agency and OPWDD regulations.
