Job summary

Lakeshore Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional Substitute (DSP) to join our team in Nebraska. You will support individuals living in community residential homes with daily living activities, self-care, and safety skills, contributing to a safe, healthy environment.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; a reliable driver's license is preferred and transportation is required for shifts and activities in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or instruct individuals in activities of daily living, self-care, personal hygiene, medication administration and safety skills in their home.
• Assist individuals in attending and participating in community activities.

Direct Support Professional Substitute (DSP)

Scope: Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams that are responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal and Agency guidelines. Direct Support Professional staff will contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting and/or instructing individuals in activities of daily living, self-care, personal hygiene, medication administration and safety skills in their home. Additionally, will assist individuals in attending and participating in community activities.

Job Type: Substitute Positions

Pay: $19.02 per hour

Sign on Bonus: potential to earn up to $2700 in first two years of employment
