Job summary

Lakeshore Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional Substitute (DSP) to join our team. You will work in community residential homes, assisting residents with daily living, self-care, and safety skills, while encouraging participation in community activities.

No experience is required as we provide training; a reliable vehicle is essential. Pay is $19.02 per hour, with a potential sign-on bonus of up to $2700 in the first two years of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current valid driver's license required.
• Willing to undergo background checks in accordance with local laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or instruct individuals in activities of daily living and self-care.
• Provide medication administration and safety skills training in the home.
• Support individuals in attending and participating in community activities.

Direct Support Professional Substitute (DSP)

Scope: Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams that are responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal and Agency guidelines. Direct Support Professional staff will contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting and/or instructing individuals in activities of daily living, self-care, personal hygiene, medication administration and safety skills in their home. Additionally, will assist individuals in attending and participating in community activities.

No experience necessary we will train interested and eligible candidates

Job Type: Substitute Positions

Pay: $19.02 per hour

Sign on Bonus: potential to earn up to $2700 in first two years of employment
