Job summary

Venture Community Services provides support to individuals facing diverse challenges through a compassionate and dedicated workforce using innovative practices that encourage independence, empowerment, and opportunity.

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, appointments, and community integration. This part-time role offers paid training, a $17.50–$19.00 hourly rate, and a $500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be active in their lives.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting and dressing.
• Accompany to medical appointments and community activities; manage medications per guidelines.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans and goals.
• Complete required training and maintain agency policies and safety standards.
• Engage as a collaborative team member in a supportive environment.
