Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist with daily living tasks, accompany clients to appointments, and help them participate in community activities with empathy and respect.

The role is part-time (29 hours) with a pay rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour and a paid training program. A sign-on bonus of $500 is offered for part-time staff, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for independence and empower adults 22+ with disabilities to be active in their lives.
• Assist with daily living tasks: household maintenance, meals, shopping, transportation to appointments.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals; assist with medical guidelines as needed.
• Support clients to engage in community activities and outings, ensuring safety and dignity.
