Job summary

Achieva is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Ambridge, PA to support individuals with disabilities in daily living, community involvement, and personal development. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, PA driver's license, and required clearances; CPR certification is needed within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required.
• Required clearances: Act 33 (Child Abuse), Act 34 (Criminal Record), and FBI Background Check.
• Must obtain CPR certification within six (6) months of start date and complete all training requirements associated with the Direct Support Professional position.

Responsibilities

• Supports individuals in leading meaningful lives through community and personal engagement.
• Assists with personal care tasks, including bathing, laundry, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Promotes independence through support with budgeting, home management, and daily living skills.
• Accompanies individuals to appointments, recreational activities, and community events.
• Documents individual progress, successes, and concerns in accordance with program standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
