Colonial Group is seeking a Direct Support Professional in San Marcos to support adults with disabilities in a day center setting. You will help clients build independence, participate in meaningful activities, and learn essential life skills in a supportive environment.

The role involves assisting with daily needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility, and leading group and individual activities. Documenting progress and maintaining accurate case records are also part of the day-to-day

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Role:

We are hiring a Direct Support Professionals to support adults with disabilities in a day center setting. In this role, you’ll help clients build independence, engage in meaningful activities, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.

Location: San Marcos

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30a-3p

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65.

A typical day will include:

• Supporting clients in learning life, social, and personal care skills
• Assisting with daily needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility
• Leading engaging group and individual activities
• Documenting progress and ensuring accurate case records

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months of experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

We’d love it if you:

• Have experience with case management systems (Therap preferred)
• Are bilingual in English and Spanish
• Have previous experience in a caregiving or teaching role
