Job summary

Developmental Services Continuum, Inc. seeks dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care and behavioral support to adults with IDD in level 6 residential homes. You will support ADLs, routines, outings, and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, implementing IPPs, recognizing triggers, and coordinating with the care team. Evening/weekend availability and CA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with IDD or residential care preferred.
• Valid California driver's license preferred.
• Able to pass DOJ and FBI background checks.
• CDSS exemptions accepted.
• Able to pass pre-employment health screenings.
• Preferred certifications: RBT, DSP-I, DSP-II.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engagement with individuals throughout the shift.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support daily routines, appointments, and community outings.
• Provide appropriate supervision based on needs.
• Implement IPPs, behavior support plans, and strategies.
• Recognize triggers and use approved intervention techniques.
• Assist with medication procedures per policy.
• Complete progress notes, data, and required records accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, supportive environment.
• Communicate changes to supervisory staff promptly.
• Collaborate with DSPs and the support team.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Follow California Title 17 and Title 22 requirements.
