Job summary

Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living and community activities. You will help with daily living skills, meals, personal care, and medication administration in a residential setting.

The role emphasizes promoting independence and dignity, documentation in Therap, and strong teamwork. Part-time second shift availability is required, with specific weekend hours and scheduling based on staffing

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promoting independence and dignity in every interaction
• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.

Part-time Second Shift Availability Required

• Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday): 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Flexibility to work second-shift and weekend hours is essential.
• Hours will be scheduled based on business needs, with a weekly budget of 20 hours.

Aboutthe Role:

Work Location Flexibility: While this position is assigned to our Avon location, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
