Job summary

The Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with daily living and personal care in a residential setting.

You will help with meals, grooming, community activities, and medication administration, while documenting notes in Therap and communicating with the team. Shift options include second shift and weekends, with a focus on promoting independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promoting independence and dignity in every interaction.
• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.
• Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.

Second Shift Availability Required

• Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday): 8:00 AM/9:00 AM – 8:00 PM/9:00 PM
• Flexibility to work second-shift and weekend hours is essential.

Work Location Flexibility: While this position is assigned to Crossgate location, Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
