Job summary

The Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living and community activities. The DSP role emphasizes independence, dignity, and teamwork in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, documenting progress in Therap, and following safety policies. Evening and weekend shifts are available, with a 20-hour weekly schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver).
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.

Part-time Second Shift Availability Required

• Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday): 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Flexibility to work second-shift and weekend hours is essential.
• Hours will be scheduled based on business needs, with a weekly budget of 20 hours.

Work Location Flexibility: While this position is assigned to our Spartanburg location, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
