Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Wallingford, PA, seeks a Residential Aide to provide support, training, and quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community group home. Location is Wallingford, PA, within the Residential Habilitative Program. The role pays $17.50/hour with no prior experience required.

Education required is a high school diploma or equivalent. Mandatory clearances include Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal history

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: None required.
• Background checks and clearances as specified in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in achieving greater independence.
• Serve as a positive role model and provide guidance and support.
• Follow individual plans and provide coaching and training.
• Engage residents in programs and activities and accompany them to appointments.
• Ensure safety and assist with personal care as needed and transport residents as required.

Job Description: Under the general direction of the Division Manager of Residential Services, with specific supervision from the House Manager, is responsible for the provision of support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to people with intellectual disabilities residing in a community group home.

Location:Wallingford, PA

Program: Residential Habilitative Program

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Job Duties:

• Assist persons served in reaching their goals of becoming more independent
• Act as a positive role model for persons served
• Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and support, in accordance with individual plans
• Engage individuals in beneficial programs and activities
• Transport and accompany individuals into the community for appointments and outings
• Directly assist with personal care as needed
• Assist with meal preparation and routine homemaking duties
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the person served including medical/medication needs
• Apply approved behavior plans and intervention strategies as/if needed
• Complete records and reports; collect data according to Agency policy

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure/Certifications: None Required

Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list
