Job summary

Chimes in Exton, PA is seeking a dedicated peer support specialist to help individuals access services and build meaningful connections. You will draw on your lived experience to offer empathy, guidance, and hope within a community-based context.

This full-time role provides flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for training and professional development as you collaborate with clinicians and families to support recovery, employment, education, and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services‑related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provides peer support using their own lived experience to help others feel understood, hopeful, and less alone.
  • Offers practical guidance (e.g., coping strategies, navigating services, building routines) based on what has worked for them personally.
  • Supports recovery goals by helping people set and work toward goals like stability, wellness, employment/education, or community connection.
  • Builds trusting, nonjudgmental relationships and encourages self-advocacy and independence.
  • Works alongside clinicians and community providers (when applicable) to share insights and promote coordinated, person-centered care.
  • Helps reduce isolation by connecting people to groups, resources, and community activities.

Education

Pay Rate:
$18.00+/hour
Schedule:
Full -Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

What You'll Bring
Education & Experience

  • PA Criminal Clearance
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Not listed on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion lists
