Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Shippensburg, PA. This entry-level role offers paid training, flexible on-call shifts, and the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As a DSP, you will help with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and community engagement, while documenting progress and collaborating with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Related care experience is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
