Job summary

Wendell Foster in Owensboro, KY is seeking energetic Direct Support Professionals for our Intermediate Care Facility. This part-time role offers 22-24 hours weekly with a starting hourly rate of $16. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company contributions, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and supporting individuals with dignity and respect. Training provided; EAP available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Current or able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification (training provided).
• Ability to communicate well with staff and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, baths, toileting and hygiene.
• Help with feeding and mobility (walking/wheelchair).
• Occasionally prepare meals and snacks per dietary card.
• Ensure safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs as needed.

Essential Functions:

Support our individuals direct care needs including, but not limited to:

• Getting dressed, assisting with baths and showering, toileting and hygiene needs, feeding, Assist with walking and/or wheelchair mobility, occasionally preparing meals and snacks per dietary card
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Understand individual’s rights and display respect and dignity when interacting with individuals.
• Frequently lift and/or move 50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move 75lbs while assisting a person with movement or direct care
