Job summary

Wendell Foster is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Outpatient Services team. You will work with therapists to help children and adults with disabilities improve mobility and independence through high-quality, person-centered therapy services.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Current Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care.
  • Monitor client progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Complete accurate documentation and billing in accordance with Kentucky regulations and standards.
  • Meet established productivity and quality goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
  • Provide education and training to individuals, families, caregivers, and staff as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with families, staff, and community partners to promote therapy services.
  • Assist with departmental needs and support Wendell Foster's mission.

Education

Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the APTA
Current Kentucky PTA license in good standing
