Job summary

Wendell Foster is seeking energetic Direct Support Professionals for our Intermediate Care Facility to join the #DifferenceMakers team. The part-time 5:00–11:00 p.m. shift offers a weekly schedule of 20–24 hours.

Starting hourly rate is $16.00 with a night-shift differential of $2.00. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance after 60 days, pet benefits, a 403b with employer contribution and match after 1 year and 1,000 hours, life insurance at no cost, and an Employee Assistance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• First aid and CPR certification (training provided).
• Good communication with staff and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with dressing, bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Support safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Respect individuals’ rights and dignity in all interactions.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs during care.

Essential Functions:

Support our individuals direct care needs including, but not limited to:

• Getting dressed, assisting with baths and showering, toileting and hygiene needs, feeding, Assist with walking and/or wheelchair mobility, occasionally preparing meals and snacks per dietary card
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Understand individual’s rights and display respect and dignity when interacting with individuals.
• Frequently lift and/or move 50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move 75lbs while assisting a person with movement or direct care
