Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in a Saturday-Sunday, 7 AM–3 PM schedule at Gallagher Services in Lutherville Timonium, MD.

The role involves helping with daily routines, transportation, and community participation while promoting independence and personal growth. The DSP will build trusted relationships, ensure safety, and advocate for residents’ rights in a trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School or better.
• 1 year DSP or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support including hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and transportation.
• Assist with community activities and day programs as applicable.
• Advocate for rights and build confidence in individuals served.
• Maintain clear and respectful records for continuity of care.

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 7 AM - 3 PM

HowYou’llSupport:

• Provide full support with daily routines such astotal hygiene care, cooking, cleaning laundry housekeeping, transporting to and from dayprogramsDrs. Appointments and medicationadministrationetc.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

MinimumRequirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
