Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore's Gallagher Services in Lutherville Timonium, MD is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) on a part-time schedule to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living, meaningful activities, and pursuing independence. You will support daily routines, transportation to programs, and community activities, while upholding dignity and respect.

Requirements include being 21+, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; prior DSP

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year DSP or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support including personal care and daily routines.
• Transport participants to and from day programs and activities.
• Support participation in community activities and independent living goals.
• Keep clear, accurate records to ensure continuity of care and program planning.

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 3 PM - 11 PM

You’llspend your daysassistingwith care to a group of people who enjoy:

• Participate 2xs a month in the community

How You’ll Support:

• Provide full support with daily routines such astotal hygiene care, cooking, cleaning laundry housekeeping, transporting to and from dayprogramsDrs. Appointments and medicationadministrationetc.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

Minimum Requirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
