Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-person, person-centered support in Orangevale, CA. Join a team that helps individuals with developmental disabilities improve daily living and quality of life.

You will follow IPP goals, assist with personal care, meals, transportation, and community activities while upholding safety and dignity. Strong communication and compassion are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• DSP Certificate (Year 1 & 2) and CPI training is preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days.
• Must be at least 21 years old and pass screenings.

Responsibilities

• Follow and support daily routines according to each client’s IPP.
• Participate in developing and supporting IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe living environment.
• Facilitate social, recreational, and community activities.
• Assist with personal care (grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene).
• Prepare meals and assist with clean‑up.
• Transport clients using company vehicles as needed.
• Report incidents and communicate daily with administrators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving the highest possible quality of life. You will promote their safety, well-being, independence, and personal goals while serving as their advocate.

Essential Responsibilities

• Participate in developing and supporting IPP/ISP goals

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience
• Preferred: experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
• DSP Certificate (Year 1 & 2) and CPI training
• Preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
• First Aid/CPR
• Preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
