Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules with pay ranging from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, personal care, transportation, and documentation, while following individualized plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Provide support with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and goals.
• Complete timely service notes and necessary documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
