Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional in Monterey Park, CA to help individuals with developmental disabilities live healthier and more independent lives. You will support daily routines, monitor health and safety, and advocate for clients.

The role requires 1 year of related experience, CPR/First Aid and CPI preferred, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30 pounds.

Qualifications

1 Year of experience working closely with individuals that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Experience with high behaviors a plus.
First Aid/CPR and CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a California Driver's License

Responsibilities

Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
Assist clients with bathroom needs.
Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
