Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Monterey Park/Covina area. The role includes helping individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health and safety, and advocating for quality of life. Part-time, Saturday and Sunday 2pm-10pm, hourly rate $18–$19.

Requirements include 1 year of relevant experience, First Aid/CPR and CPI preferred or willing to obtain, must be 21+, and have a California Driver’s License. Benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in the Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
Shifts Needed: (Sat & Sun 2pm-10pm)

Here’s What You’ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.


• Assist clients with bathroom needs.


• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.


• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.


• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• 1 Year of experience working closely with individuals that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Experience with high behaviors a plus.


• First Aid/CPR and CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Must have a California Driver’s License

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.


• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
