Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Brentwood, CA to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently. The role emphasizes health, safety, advocacy, and well-being, with opportunities to grow DSP certification and contribute to life-enriching supports.

The position requires compassionate engagement, 21+ years of age, a CA driver’s license, and willingness to complete background checks and training such as First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Hourly Rate: $17.50- $19.00/hr. Depending on Certifications
Shifts Needed: AM & PM
