Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Brentwood, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role offers full-time hours, AM/PM shifts, and an hourly rate of $17.50–$19.00 depending on certifications.

Responsibilities include daily routines, hygiene support, meal prep, and client transportation as needed. Requires a DSP certificate (Year 1 & 2), valid CA driver’s license, and successful background check.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Background check required before employment

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in their IPP
• Assist clients with bathroom needs
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing as needed
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup
• Transport clients in company vans as needed

Here’s What You’ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
