Job summary

Arise is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active and creative young man with a developmental disability. In this role, you will assist him with accessing college and work in his home and community, including piano lessons, community events, and opportunities for social interaction.

He is working on independent living skills such as maintaining his belongings and cleaning up after himself. He enjoys cooking, shopping, biking, and music.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS driver's license.

The ideal candidate will have a fun sense of humor, effective communication skills, and strong organizational skills.

Hours & Location

Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, afternoons and/or evenings. Willing to consider different schedules for the right applicant.

Location: East Syracuse, NY

Responsibilities

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus
• All mileage accrued while with the individual is reimbursed
