Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide respite services for a young school‑aged girl in Oswego, NY. The role requires patience, kindness, and reliability to support the family and give them a well‑deserved break.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, transporting to appointments on Thursdays and Fridays, and helping develop independent living skills. Training is provided, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download and use multiple apps in the community in accordance with ARISE/EFR technology policy.

• Follow agency and family guidance for activities and behavioral redirection as necessary.
