Job summary

Job description

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Fabius Pompey area with a young man with several diagnoses, including autism and FASD. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist him with working on goals, both at home and in community settings.

Position Type: Per Diem
Education Level: None
Salary: $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Accompany and support him during community outings.
• Assist him in gaining independent living skills, including organization skills.
• Assist him in improving and maintaining communication and social skills and provide transportation as needed.

Additional Information

Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week to start; flexible schedule after school and on weekends to be agreed upon with the family. Additional hours may be available in the future.

Background checks, fingerprinting, and DMV record checks will be conducted prior to hire.
