Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join a dedicated team in Jackson, NJ. You will help individuals in need with daily living skills, community activities, and transportation to the day program.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience, and comprehensive health benefits after 30 days. Onsite orientation is provided, with opportunities for growth within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non‑provisional driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic with a team-oriented approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills such as food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping.
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
