Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports in New Jersey seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team in homes and communities throughout the state.

You will provide hands-on support, assist with daily living tasks, monitor well-being, and follow individualized plans. Training, CPR/First Aid, and required certifications are provided.

Full-time and part-time schedules available; valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required — training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team — both full-time and part-time positions available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities

• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings

• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed

• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)

• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements

• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress
