Job summary

In Good Company provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals for full-time and part-time roles in homes and communities across the state.

You will assist with daily living activities, follow care plans, and help individuals participate in community activities while ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with IDD is preferred but training is provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team - both full-time and part-time positions available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required - we provide training
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable
• Strong communication skills and good judgment
• Comfortable with personal care tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc. - provided by the company)
• High school diploma or equivalent
