Job summary

In Good Company is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, meal preparation, and accompany clients to activities, appointments, and outings, while following individualized care plans and safeguarding the well‑being of clients.

Full‑time and part‑time positions are available, with paid training and ongoing support from a caring team.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but training provided.
• Patient and dependable with strong communication and judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks and maintaining a respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team - both full-time and part-time positions available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required - we provide training
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable
• Strong communication skills and good judgment
• Comfortable with personal care tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc. - provided by the company)
• High school diploma or equivalent
