Job summary

In Good Company is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. We offer both full-time and part-time positions in home and community settings, with training provided.

You will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments and activities, follow individualized care plans, and help with medications where authorized.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with IDD preferred, but training is provided.
• Must be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and good judgment required.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Able to pass background checks and complete DDD training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities.

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team - both full-time and part-time positions available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required - we provide training
