Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey homes and communities. We offer both full-time and part-time positions.

You will assist with daily living activities, participate in community activities, and follow care plans with a focus on safety and person-centered care. Training is provided for certifications and DDD requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) is preferred but training is provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with IDD in homes and communities.

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team — both full-time and part-time positions available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities

• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings

• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed

• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)

• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements

• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times
